How do you pray Tauba Namaz?



                    Complete guide to perform Tauba Namaz:


Praying Tauba Namaz, also known as the Prayer of Repentance, is a beautiful way to seek forgiveness from Allah for any sins committed. Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to perform Tauba Namaz, with references from the Quran and Hadith:


Steps to Pray Tauba Namaz


1). Make Wudu (Ablution)

•  Ensure you are in a state of ritual purity by performing Wudu.


2). Intention (Niyyah)

•  Make the intention in your heart to pray Tauba Namaz for seeking Allah’s forgiveness.

 

3). Perform Two Rakats of Nafl Prayer


•  First Rakat:

•  Recite Surah Al-Fatihah.


•  Recite any other Surah (e.g., Surah Al-Ikhlas).


•  Second Rakat:

•  Recite Surah Al-Fatihah.


•  Recite any other Surah (e.g., Surah Al-Falaq or Surah An-Nas).

 

4). Seek Forgiveness in Dua

•  After completing the two Rakats, sincerely ask Allah for forgiveness. You can use the following Dua:


•  Arabic:

'' أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ رَبِّي مِنْ كُلِّ ذَنْبٍ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ ''


•  Transliteration:

Astaghfirullah Rabbi min kulli dhanbin wa atubu ilayh.


•  Translation:

I seek forgiveness from Allah, my Lord, from every sin I committed and I turn to Him in repentance.

•  Allah says in the Quran, "And those who, when they commit an immorality or wrong themselves [by transgression], remember Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins..." (Surah Al-Imran, 3:135).

•  The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "There is no one who commits a sin, then purifies himself, stands in prayer, and offers two Rakats, and seeks forgiveness, except that Allah will forgive him" (Sunan Abi Dawood).

Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrated that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "When a servant commits a sin, and he performs ablution well, and then stands and prays two Rakats, and asks pardon of Allah, Allah pardons him" (Sunan Abi Dawood).
