Reciting specific Surahs and Duas from the Quran and Hadith can bring immense healing and comfort. Here are some powerful Surahs and Duas for healing, along with their proofs from the Quran and Hadith:



Surahs for Healing:


1). Surah Al-Fatihah (The Opening):

•  Proof: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) referred to Surah Al-Fatihah as a cure. In one narration, a companion recited it over a scorpion bite, and the Prophet ﷺ confirmed its healing properties.

•  Transliteration:

Wa nunazzilu mina al-Qur’ani ma huwa shifa’un wa rahmatun lil-mu’minīn.

And We send down of the Quran that which is healing and mercy for the believers.

4). Dua from Surah Al-Baqarah (2:286):

•  Arabic:


رَبَّنَا لَا تُؤَاخِذْنَا إِن نَّسِينَا أَوْ أَخْطَأْنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تَحْمِلْ عَلَيْنَا إِصْرًا كَمَا حَمَلْتَهُ عَلَى الَّذِينَ مِن قَبْلِنَا ۚ رَبَّنَا وَلَا تُحَمِّلْنَا مَا لَا طَاقَةَ لَنَا بِهِ ۖ وَاعْفُ عَنَّا وَاغْفِرْ لَنَا وَارْحَمْنَا ۚ أَنتَ مَوْلَانَا    فَانصُرْنَا عَلَى الْقَوْمِ الْكَافِرِينَ 


•  Transliteration:

Rabbana la tu’akhidhna in naseena aw akhta’na. Rabbana wa la tahmil ‘alayna isran kama hamaltahu ‘ala alladhina min qablina. Rabbana wa la tuhammilna ma la taqata lana bihi. Wa’fu ‘anna waghfir lana warhamna. Anta mawlana fansurna ‘ala al-qawmi al-kafirin.


•  Translation:

Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred. Our Lord, and lay not upon us a burden like that which You laid upon those before us. Our Lord, and burden us not with that which we have no ability to bear. And pardon us; and forgive us; and have mercy upon us. You are our protector, so give us victory over the disbelieving people.


•  Quranic Reference: This dua seeks Allah's protection and well-being, asking for His mercy and forgiveness.


5). Dua for General Healing

•  Arabic:


اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّ النَّاسِ، أَذْهِبِ الْبَأْسَ، اشْفِهِ، أَنْتَ الشَّافِي، لَا شِفَاءَ إِلَّا شِفَاؤُكَ، شِفَاءً لَا يُغَادِرُ سَقَمًا


•  Transliteration:

Allahumma rabb an-nas, adhhibil ba’sa, ishfihi, Anta ash-shafi, la shifa’a illa shifa’uka, shifa’an la yughadiru saqaman.


•  Translation:

O Allah, Lord of mankind, remove this disease and cure him. You are the only healer, and there is no cure except through You, a cure which leaves no disease behind.
