'' What is The Hadeeth'' and how many types of the Hadeeth?

The Hadeeth

Hadith refers to the sayings, actions, and approvals of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), which are recorded and serve as a major source of religious law and moral guidance in Islam, second only to the Quran.
The term "Hadith" is derived from the Arabic word "ḥadīth," which means "report," "account," or "narrative." The plural form is "ahadith.

Types of Hadeeth

There are several types of Hadith, categorized based on various criteria such as the chain of narrators, the content, and the authenticity. Here are some of the main types:

1.

Hadith Qudsi: Divine sayings where the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) narrates on behalf of Allah.

2.

Sahih Hadith:  Authentic Hadiths with a reliable chain of narrators.

3.

Hasan Hadith: Good Hadiths that are reliable but not as strong as Sahih.

4.

Da'if Hadith:  Weak Hadiths with less reliable chains of narration.

5.

Mutawatir Hadith:  Hadiths reported by a large number of people, ensuring authenticity.

6.

Mashhur Hadith:  Well-known Hadiths narrated by many, but fewer than Mutawatir.

These categories help scholars and followers of Islam determine the reliability and applicability of the Hadiths in religious practice and daily life. Each type plays a role in understanding the teachings and actions of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and in guiding the Muslim community.
